Detaching and attaching a license in Off-line Mode
In this article, you will get an overview of the installation and processes used in the N-Stalker 2006 Web Security Scanner Application.
1) Detaching a License:
1.1) Open the N-Stalker Web Security Scanner Application.
1.2) Click on "Tools" on the menu bar.
1.3) Then click on the option "Upadte Manager".
1.4) After that an Upadte Manager's panel will appear and click on the tab "License Information"
1.5) Click on the button “Detach license”.
1.5.1) After this will show a message box with the detach confirmation successful.
2) Attaching a Lincese:
2.1) Open the N-Stalker Web Security Scanner Application.
2.1.1) The “N-Stalker Update Manager” panel will open.
2.2) Then insert the information that you had received from our N-Stalker Support Team to activate your product:
License Class : XXXX-XXX-XX
License # : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
2.3) After that, click on "Save Request". After doing it, send the file saved (request.key) to the N-Stalker Support Team (firstname.lastname@example.org).
2.4) The N-Stalker Support Team will generate the license (license.key) as soon as they receive the request.
2.5) Upon receiving an e-mail from the N-Stalker Support Team you will have to install the license (license.key). To so so you just have to copy the "license.key" file to N-Stalker's directory (usually \Program Files\N-Stalker\Enterprise Edition).
2.6) In order to effect the update from the N-Stalker Web Security Scanner Application on Off-line mode, access the N-Stalker’s Customer Center (https://customer.nstalker.com/cc). After entered with the credentials click on “Downloads” tab and click on the last Signatures Database version.
2.6.1) After download the .ZIP file, unzip it and copy all the .DBS files to N-Stalker’s Directory (usually \Program Files\N-Stalker\Enterprise Edition\nbs).
